The Battle of Love is an emotional love stry set in the years of the Nigerian civil war (1967-1970). It addresses the ethnic tensions of the time, and tells the story off a Nigerian soldier from the eastern part of Nigeria, on the run from his military station in northern Nigeria just after the outbreak of genocidal hostilities there. He has married across ethnic lines, which has caused much distress to both families and puts both himself and his wife, who is from the north, in mortal danger.
